Class 9 covers computer software and apps, electronics, and a vast range of technical and scientific apparatus — including downloadable media, mobile applications, computer hardware and measuring instruments. It is the default class for India's software, SaaS, app and electronics businesses. Note that the service of developing software falls in Class 42.
